Just a quick shout out to phormer Philadelphia Phlyer Scottie Upshall for putting up the first natural hat trick I can recall in some time!
And he didn't even need a fight to inspire him to such heights. Imagine that...
If you're going to already top your career high in goals just past the season's halfway point, that's the way to do it in style, eh?
See what happens when you get out from under the Orange & Black Blanket o' Goonery?
Considering Hartnell's ability to be called for minor penalties, think they maybe got rid of the wrong Scottie?

ReplyDeleteBlog Cosby, Blog Cosby, how does your mullet grow?
ReplyDeleteTo pull off the natural, I thought the goals needed to be all within the same frame as well as being a string of 3 uninterrupted. Moulson's goals were not all in the same period (2 in the 2nd, 1 in the 3rd).
ReplyDeleteThere does, however, seem to be some debate across the 'net as to whether the single-period requirement is, in fact, a requirement.
As I remember it, it was just three uninterrupted goals, regardless of which period.
